Nursing experience in India

Just like the pre-medic programme, our nursing work experience placements in India offer access to a wide range of departments and specialities due to our strong partnerships with a variety of different hospitals. If you want to focus on a particular area, such as children’s nursing or maternity care, we can usually place you in a hospital that specialises in your chosen field.

For students wanting a more general overview, we usually recommend rotating around departments in a larger multi-speciality hospital. As always, we’ll work with you during the lead up to your placement to make sure you get the experience that is right for you.

All our partner hospitals are in and around the Jodhpur, with none more than a 25-minute rickshaw ride from the Gap Medics house. Our clinical teaching sessions, held three afternoons a week, are combined for pre-medical and pre-nursing students in order to give you a more complete insight into the work of the hospital team as a whole.
